Frequently Asked Questions

Women in Property Membership is individual and the benefits accrue to the named member.  It is non-transferable and follows the member if they move within the industry. We do not currently have a corporate membership option but actively encourage members' employers to get involved with the organisation and its activities.

Membership is for twelve months from the month of joining.

Renewal notices are sent out a month in advance of the renewal date. Membership lapses after two months from the date of renewal, if it remains unconfirmed.

Membership that is cancelled during its term is non-refundable

We are pleased to offer Student Membership at a discounted rate to those studying in higher or further education on a built environment course.

Members will be asked to confirm their student status upon application or renewal (via a tick box option) and membership will be approved at Women in Property's sole discretion.

The discounted membership rate will be available to student members for a maximum of three years from the date of application unless otherwise agreed with Women in Property. Any such requests should be made by email to membership@womeninproperty.org.uk.

Membership is for women working in the built environment industry.

We welcome people of all genders at the majority of our events and we receive great support from our allies.

Membership Break Policy: We are pleased to offer members the opportunity register a break in their membership if going on maternity leave, sabbatical or a career break.

This will effectively freeze the remaining period of paid membership until their return to work and the membership renewal date will be adjusted accordingly.

Any such requests should be made, in advance, by email to membership@womeninproperty.org.uk and will be agreed at Women in Property's sole discretion

We regret that we are unable to accept retrospective requests to apply for a membership break.
