All event fees are listed net of VAT.

Grosvenor West is a Grade II listed historic building in the heart of Manchester Metropolitan University’s All Saints Campus. It was first opened in 1881 as the Manchester School of Art and is still fully utilised by the Departments of Art and Performance and Design. The building needed substantial refurbishment to sustain its future use by the University. The project is currently in the construction phase with significant works being undertaken to the fabric, including stonework repairs, re-pointing, roof repairs, chimney repairs/re-builds, window repairs/replacements, as well as a full replacement of its time expired Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing infrastructure. The refurbishment will also improve accessibility and ensure compliance with the latest fire safety requirements.

Manchester School of Art was designed by George Tunstal Redmayne with the later rear addition by Joseph Gibbons Sankey. The School of Art has hosted notable names such as Walter Crane, Sylvia Pankhurst, Adolph Valette and LS Lowry.

We will meet at Benzie Café at 9.30am for a coffee/network with the tour starting at 10am – the tour should take 1 hour. There are limited numbers for this exclusive tour as it is a live site so book fast to secure a place.
