Join us for an exclusive site visit to Stonehenge Learning Centre and Neolithic build, an amazing heritage site currently undergoing an expansion in education provision.
As part of English Heritage’s Learning at Stonehenge initiative, a brand-new accessible learning centre is being created to inspire the next generation. The development includes a state-of-the-art STEM discovery lab, a digital studio and a unique, immersive classroom designed as a hands-on Neolithic Hall.
This exciting project will also introduce a new STEM in Heritage programme for school visits, helping more children experience and learn from the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage Site. It responds to the growing demand for high-quality STEM education by offering engaging, inclusive opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering and maths through the lens of heritage and archaeology. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the site and hear directly from the project team, including Main Contractor Beard, and expert experimental archaeologists Historic Concepts.
This is a unique chance to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in building within a protected landscape, and to see first-hand the special legacy build.
You will need to bring your own site boots for this tour.
A hot drink and refreshments will be provided at the end of the site tour.
Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend.
