Explore the versatility of lime in construction with this engaging half-day CPD session from carringtonLIME Heritage Skills Training. The session begins with a concise classroom introduction covering the different types of lime, their properties and where they are best used within traditional and modern construction.
Attendees will then take part in a sung and engaging hands-on practical workshop, experimenting with mixing lime mortars and plasters, applying plaster finishes, and using pigments to create bespoke decorative surfaces. Designed to be interactive and accessible, the session offers a valuable introduction to working with natural, breathable building materials.
