The Project Overview: The £6.5M project involves the full demolition of the existing operational fire station and construction of a new two-storey facility incorporating appliance bays, training tower, external works, landscaping and car parking. To maintain continuity of fire and rescue services, a temporary fire station was established at Whitehill Fire Station as the first phase of works, followed by demolition and new-build delivery on the King Street site. The station will provide improved facilities for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, a new space for local community activities and low-carbon heating and lighting systems in support of Greater Manchester’s ambition to become a carbon neutral city-region by 2038.

Full PPE is required for this event.
