Explore one of Manchester's most iconic buildings and hear from members of the team working on its redevelopment.
Join Women in Property North West NextGen for an exclusive tour of Rylands, the Grade II listed landmark currently being transformed by developer AM ALPHA. This is a fantastic opportunity for those in the early stages of their property and construction careers to see the scheme up close and hear directly from the professionals delivering it.
The morning will begin with a short presentation on the history and progress of the building from Lily Cassell, NextGen committee member and Senior Account Manager at REMM, the appointed marketing agency on the scheme, before heading out on a guided tour around the site to see the transformation first-hand. We'll be joined on the tour by Domis, lead contractor on the scheme, along with Megan Dinsley, Assistant Design Manager at Domis, who will share insight on the heritage design aspects and installations currently under way. You'll also hear from Eleanor Bennett, a degree apprentice at Woolgar Hunter working on the scheme, as we make our way around the building.
When: Tuesday 13th October, meeting at 8:30am for an 11am finish
Where: Rylands Manchester, Market Street, M60 1TA
Refreshments: Tea and coffee provided during the opening presentation
PPE: Full site PPE is required, including gloves, hi-vis and hard hat, which will be provided on the day. Please bring your own site boots.
It's a brilliant chance to get behind the scenes of a landmark Manchester development, meet others in the industry, and ask questions of those working across design, engineering, heritage, marketing and project delivery.
This event is part of our North West NextGen event series, created to support those in the early stages of their career in the property and construction industry, including students, apprentices, graduates and assistants. We're building a community to grow with, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
