Freshwalks: Lancashire Three Peaks

As part of our collaboration with Freshwalks, we’re proposing a joint event involving the wider Freshwalks community. The hike format will remain the same, with the same ethos of connecting with nature and building meaningful connections. The main difference is that this event will include participants from outside the Women in Property network - bringing together a broader group of professionals while still maintaining the inclusive and supportive environment that Freshwalks is known for.

We start the day at Rivington Brew Co Tap with a challenging circular hike across three of Lancashire’s best-loved hills.  Stunning views and a varied terrain.  A 20k circular route that climbs three of Lancashire’s best loved hills: Great Hill, Winter Hill and Rivington Pike.  We start beside the reservoirs and along the shoreline to White Coppice before a sustained climb to the summit of Gret Hill followed by a traverse across moorland to Winter Hill.  Then it’s a gentle descent to Rivington Pike before returning to the starting point through the terraced gardens

Grade: Very Hard

Max elevation: 453m / Total ascent: 655m

16.00 - Walk finishes, Rivington Brewing Co

Public transport: Adlington is the nearest station.  (35 minute walk or 6 minute drive) An hourly service from Manchester Piccadilly

Toilets: Public toilets at the start.  None en-route.

Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch and we will stop somewhere appropriate en-route, moist likely between 12 and 12.30 weather dependant

Post walk: You are welcome to join other walkers for post hike refreshments and optional food at Rivington Brewing Co

Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend.
