Girls and women don't suffer from a lack of confidence, they suffer from an excess of experience in how the world reacts to confident girls and women.
Parul Singh, founder of Parallel Minds Neurodiversity Consultancy, has worked in the male-dominated tech industry for her entire career and is no stranger to the concept of "Imposter Syndrome". She started to question the meaning and discovered why the phrase never quite sat right with her from the beginning.
We've spent too long telling women they just need to "work on their confidence" instead of challenging the broken systems that chip away at our confidence. After this talk, you'll never look at Imposter Syndrome the same way again, and you'll be able to recognise the real causes of "lack of confidence" and challenge the system that keeps telling women to fix themselves.
Nibbles and refreshments will be provided.
Members and Non-Members of all genders are welcome to attend.
