Freshwalks – Marple & Mellor Cross

Welcome to Freshwalks and our first Women in Property collaboration event of 2024.

Our plan is to start the day in Marple, Cheshire and head gently uphill towards the summit of Mellor Cross before dropping into the tiny hamlet of Brookbottom for a pub lunch at the Fox Inn.

After lunch, we'll head down the Midshires Way to Strines (an early return train is possible here) before walking back to Marple along the Peak Forest Canal.

Walkers coming from Manchester can take the 09:48 train from Manchester Piccadilly to arrive in Marple at 10:09.

Women in Property members are also welcome to meet each other for coffee or breakfast at Carluccio's (upstairs inside the station) from 09:00.

The walk will start soon after the Manchester train lands in Marple (approx. 10:15)

If heading to Marple direct, please aim to arrive by 10:00 so you can be ready - car parked and boots laced - in good time.
