Diane Modahl MBE is one of Britain’s most accomplished middle-distance runners. She represented Britain at four Olympic Games, and won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games.
In December 1994, Diane was falsely accused of taking performance-enhancing drugs. It was a battle that tore her whole life apart, but one that she finally won. Her strength and courage in the face of adversity is an inspiration.
Since retiring from athletics, Diane has gone on to establish the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF) alongside her husband, Olympic coach Vicente Modahl, which works with young people from within the top 20% areas of deprivation across the North West, using sport as a vehicle for change.
Join us for a breakfast event at Hyatt Regency Manchester where you will hear more about Diane’s story. We will also be announcing a summer fundraising challenge that Women in Property and Women in Social Housing are organising for the Foundation.
