In 2016, 47 Universities took part in the Awards, nominating 86 students. Now, as our tenth anniversary year draws to a close, the 2017 Awards process is underway with a call out to Universities across the UK to put forward their best students. They will submit CVs and give a presentation on a recent piece of coursework as part of the judging process and, following this, the regional finalists will be decided after an interview with a panel of high profile regional judges drawn from industry, higher education and including our own regional Chairmen. Each will be awarded a £300 prize and assistance in achieving a paid summer work placement next year.
They will then go head-to-head in the national final, the winner receiving a trophy and £700 cash prize which will be awarded at a black tie Awards Dinner to be held at Claridge's in September 2017. Read a review of the 2016 Awards Dinner here.
WiP is proud to have been supported by a number of the industry's most respected businesses and individuals both through involvement in the judging process and through generous sponsorship. We are delighted that, once again, our 2016 National sponsors, Bouygues, Cushman & Wakefield and Linden Homes are joining us for the 2017 Awards.

The 2016 winner of the National Student Awards was Yasmine Lunn (pictured above), studying Real Estate at Sheffield Hallam University. Yasmine said,
"This whole process has been so positive and a real eye opener. I've learned to perform outside of my comfort zone, think on my feet and have developed relationships with some great people in the industry."
Congratulations to Yasmine and to all the 2016 national finalists. Read more about last year's finalists here.
