Invitation to Participate in Gospel Oak School’s Interactive Futures Fair

Women in Property has been invited by Central Region Schools Trust to take part in this unique event, designed to inspire and prepare year 10,11,12 and 13 students for their future education and careers while giving local employers, training providers, Colleges and Universities the opportunity to engage with the workforce of tomorrow. Details are below:

Interactive Futures Fair and Mock Interview Day

Friday 14th March 2025

Gospel Oak School, Bilston Road, Tipton, DY4 0BZ

9am to 3pm.

This year, we are taking a more hands-on approach and asking participating delegates to bring along interactive activities to engage our students. These activities will give young people a taste of the skills, qualities, and innovation required for real roles in the workplace.

What We're Hoping For:

  • Interactive Activities: Simulate real-world roles or tasks. This could include props, games, quizzes, interactive displays, or "have-a-go" activities.
  • Skill Insights: Demonstrate the skills and qualities needed for particular roles within your sector.
  • Showcase Innovation: Highlight technologies or innovations in your industry to inform students and teachers about roles they may not be aware of.
  • Encourage Exploration: Inspire students to discover new interests and think about how school subjects link to potential careers.

Mock Interview Day

Alongside the Futures Fair, we will be hosting a Mock Interview Day for our year 10 students. We invite you to support this initiative by conducting practice interviews with students, providing valuable feedback on their performance, and offering tips for improvement. These interviews will help students develop confidence, refine their communication skills, and better understand what employers look for in candidates.

Why Participate?

  • Make an Impact: Help young people understand how your industry works and what it has to offer.
  • Promote Your Sector: Demystify roles and showcase your organisation’s commitment to the local community.
  • Engage the Future Workforce: Build relationships with the next generation of talent.

We believe that with your participation, this event can be both impactful and memorable for our students.

If you’d like to join us, please contact Sarah Wilkins at swilkins@crst.org.uk.

Sarah is happy to discuss ideas or provide support to help you prepare your interactive activity.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to inspire and engage the young people in our community
