Anti-Fat Bias is a rarely addressed topic as it is one of the most normalised and accepted forms of prejudice. We see this in the media, in medicine, and also in the workplace. Whether this is a conscious or unconscious bias, it is greatly impacting individuals in their working environment, in lack of opportunities and in discriminatory practices and beliefs. So, how do we address and combat anti-fat bias? This interactive workshop will explore:
- What is anti-fat bias?
- Where do we see anti-fat bias occur in the workplace?
- How team members and organisations are impacted by anti-fat bias?
- How to challenge anti-fat bias?
