Associated British Ports and Women in Property cordially invite you to explore the designated Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) nestled within the historic port of Grimsby.
This exceptional regeneration endeavour encompasses a captivating blend of Victorian and post-World War II architecture, featuring nine nationally Grade II listed structures. The project’s uniqueness lies in its transformation of historic buildings—a challenge given the port industry’s constraints and location. With limited scope for residential development, the property and communications team at ABP has embarked on an innovative journey, exploring ideas rarely seen in conservation area regeneration projects across the UK.
The Kasbah has been earmarked for the specialist food and beverage industry as well as the creative and arts sector. Already gaining attention as a filming location, it played a pivotal role in the 2023 Netflix series ‘Bodies,’ starring Stephen Graham, who graced its atmospheric spaces.
Please note: Parts of the conservation area remains closed to the public, making this a unique opportunity to witness the beginning of the Kasbah’s transformation first-hand. Please contact us in advance if you do have any specific requirements.
Members and non-members of all genders are welcome.
