2022 was an extremely volatile year for energy markets across the UK and Europe which brought energy security to the forefront of discussion. Renewable technologies such as wind and solar are likely to play a significant role in diversifying our energy mix and also present a cheaper form of energy generation which is quicker to build.
In the third of our breakfast series, Helen Moffat and Emma Winter from Carter Jonas will look at what’s driving energy prices and how there are opportunities for businesses to consider on-site energy generation to help reduce their energy costs and increase energy efficiency.
Identifying how the planning system can help you and your business using either Permitted Development Rights for small scale schemes and the current National Planning Policy Framework for larger schemes is key to unlocking any potential energy opportunities.
