CPD Accredited: Breakfast Series 1 - Historic Buildings – Heritage, Policy and Planning

Never mind ‘we are what we eat’, in reality ‘we are where we live’ – whether that be a castle, palace, or town house. The buildings we interact with provide vital tools to help us to understand the past as well as keys to sustaining the future of the built environment.

In the first of our breakfast series, Dr Emma Wells from SLR Consulting will give an insight into a variety of historic buildings from our great cathedrals to modern redevelopments, looking at:

• the value of heritage assets
• how historic construction has and continues to be preserved in line with changing legislation
• exemptions and compliance with building and planning regulations

Questions will be taken at the end of the presentation.

This event will be held at the Leeds offices of Freeths who will be providing tea, coffee and pastries, with plenty of opportunity for networking.
