Save the date to join us for an exclusive site visit to Bailys Buildings in Glastonbury, a remarkable heritage site currently undergoing an exciting transformation.
Bailys Buildings form part of Glastonbury’s rich industrial past, with origins dating back to the town’s historic tannery and sheepskin trade, which once played a vital role in the local economy. Over time, the site fell into disuse, but its character and historical significance have remained an important part of Glastonbury’s story.
Today, the buildings are being carefully restored and repurposed by the Beckery Island Regeneration Trust, breathing new life into the site for the benefit of the local community. The project aims to create a vibrant, accessible space that celebrates Glastonbury’s heritage while supporting future cultural, commercial and community use.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the site and hear directly from the project team, including Project Managers Dowlas, Main Contractor Beard, and Structural and Civil Engineers Morgan Civil and Structural. This is a unique chance to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities involved in regenerating a historic site, and to see first-hand how collaborative working is bringing this important project to life.
Further details will be confirmed in due course.
