The Bath & Costwolds satellite of Women in Property are delighted to invite you to join us for a pottery workshop and networking with Jon Roynon, a 2023 finalist on the UK television series The Great Pottery Throw Down.
Jon is a Technical Director at Buro Happold, Bath leading the structural engineering team. As an engineer he has worked with some of the world’s top architects which inspires aspects of his pottery. His engineering background is evident in his pottery with symmetry and precision in the forms he uses.
The two-hour workshop will include the clay and glaze to create and decorate a pen holder, and Jon will provide step by step instructions for you to follow on the night – no matter your ability or experience.
Attendees are advised to bring; some newspaper, wooden rolling pin (or similar), a smooth side cylindrical item to use as a former (such as a drinks can / glass jar etc, approx. 80mm diameter), some small artists type brushes.
