Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London

Said to be the oldest extant military ceremony in the world, this in an ancient ritual held every evening at the Tower of London when the main gates are locked.

We will meet at Lichfields from 5.45pm for some drinks and pizza and the chance to chat to fellow WiP members.  Just after 7pm we’ll leave the office to walk to the gates of the Tower to meet a Yeoman Warder for a short “after-hours” tour before adjourning to the Keys Club, the Beefeater’s own pub within the Tower, for some drinks before going outside to witness the Ceremony which takes place at 9.52pm. It concludes at 10.05pm and which point you’re free to leave or head back to the Keys for a nightcap. 

This event is members exclusive.

Pease note:

• Over 18s only.
• Drinks at the Keys Club are not included in the event fee and it is a cash only bar. 
• Photography of the Ceremony is prohibited but is allowed earlier in the evening
  on our tour.
