Start your day in an unusual way with breakfast in prison!
Women in Property in conjunction with the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors invite you to join them for breakfast in prison. The Clink is an award-winning charity that is reducing reoffending rates by allowing prisoners to learn a skill, engage with the public and take their first steps towards a new life. All dishes are cooked on the premises by prisoners, and you will be served by others, all of whom are on the Clink’s training scheme working towards NVQs and ultimately employment in the hospitality industry upon release. Now in its fourteenth year the Clink Charity is achieving stellar results – changing attitudes, transforming lives and creating second chances.
Our guest speaker will be Chartered Surveyor and Liveryman Kevin McGrath OBE, co-founder of the Clink Charity.
The restaurant will be open for drinks and networking from 8.00am and we will sit down to eat at 8.45am. For those who wish, there will be the opportunity to talk to some of the prisoners after the breakfast, otherwise you will be free to “escape” from c.10.00am. Do bear in mind that there can be delays when leaving so plan your morning accordingly.
Please note.
Please ensure you read and adhere to the security instructions which will be emailed to you before the event.
Members and Non-Members of all genders are welcome to attend.
