Join Hilary Brett and Tom Fenton of FEC on a walking tour of Victoria North, the north of England’s biggest urban regeneration project.

Jointly developed and funded by FEC and Manchester City Council, Victoria North is set to create 15,000 new homes across 155 hectares and seven neighbourhoods over the next 20 years, helping with the shortfall in housing in Manchester, and is shortlisted as one of 12 potential New Towns in England.

The tour will start with an overview of the project and a visit to one of the completed buildings, before a walking tour of both completed parts of the site and areas next up for redevelopment. You will hear how the neighbourhoods are being transformed and the new community activated through FEC’s in house operator Found.

We will finish with time for a drink and networking in one of the FEC meanwhile uses Red Arch.

Members and non-members of all genders welcome to attend.

Hilary Brett is Development Director at FEC UK and a driving force behind one of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration projects – Manchester’s Victoria North. With over 18 years of expertise in planning and project delivery, she’s leading the charge on the first wave of residential development, part of a long-term vision to create 15,000 new homes.

One of the founding members of FEC’s Manchester office, Hilary has played a pivotal role in shaping the Victoria North Masterplan, Strategic Regeneration Framework and the neighbourhood-led approach, working with Manchester City Council and local stakeholders to unlock the area’s vast potential and deliver lasting impact.  This includes the Red Bank neighbourhood, one of FEC’s initial phases centred around the City River Park and with a focus on green space.

Tom Fenton Members and non-members of all genders welcome to attend. is Partnerships Director and has over twenty years’ client-side development experience. Before joining FEC, he worked for Capital & Centric and held directorial roles at Sheffield Housing Company (three years) and Urban Splash (thirteen years), delivering some of the largest and most high-profile mixed-use regeneration projects in the region.

In his current role as Strategic Partnerships Director, Tom is responsible for the delivery and coordination of FEC’s Victoria North Joint Venture and in particular, the stakeholder relationship with Manchester City Council, Homes England, the GMCA and MHCLG.

Tom has previously been a Non-Executive Director at One Manchester Housing Association in Manchester, a position he held for four years and has just been appointed as a Non-Executive Director to Tameside Mayoral Development Corporation.
