At the heart of Kate’s work with ChroME is the idea of “colouring yourself back in.”
In high-pressure, traditionally male-dominated environments such as property and construction, many capable women don’t burn out — they slowly fade out. Confidence dips, imposter feelings creep in and self-connection becomes buried beneath responsibility, professionalism, uniformity and the demands of everyday life.
Rather than encouraging women to push confidence harder, this 45-minute keynote explores how confidence can be gently restored by reconnecting with themselves first. The session offers a thoughtful, practical and compassionate approach to rebuilding self-assurance in a way that feels sustainable and authentic.
Key Themes Within the Session
Confidence as Something You Restore, Not Force
Reframing confidence as something that can be replenished rather than powered through. Many women give constantly — to clients, teams, projects and families — and this session offers a more grounded way to feel self-assured without depletion.
Colour as a Wellbeing Tool (Not Fashion)
Exploring how colour influences the nervous system, emotional regulation, clarity and sense of identity, particularly under pressure. This is about wellbeing and self-connection, not trends or styling rules.
Colour Within Professional Constraints
Acknowledging dress codes, site wear, neutral palettes and professional expectations, while identifying where colour can still support women — through small personal choices, preparation rituals, mindset shifts, home environments and moments where autonomy exists.
Life Stages and Confidence
Recognising how confidence can shift through pregnancy, returning to work, menopause, health challenges, leadership transitions and career changes — and how colour can act as a stabilising anchor during periods of disconnection.
Practical, Realistic Tools
Simple techniques attendees can use before presentations, negotiations, assertive conversations, leadership meetings, or challenging days, alongside ideas they can share with colleagues and teams.
This session is warm, relatable and uplifting, blending insight, storytelling, humour and practical takeaways. It is designed to resonate with women navigating demanding professional environments while offering something that feels refreshing, human, and supportive.
Join us from 5.30pm for drinks, nibbles and networking with the session starting at 6.15pm for 45 minutes and further networking afterwards.
Members and non-members are welcome.
