As part of our collaboration with Freshwalks, we’re delighted to run a joint event with the wider Freshwalks community.

The hike format will remain the same as previous Freshwalk events, with the same ethos of connecting with nature and building meaningful connections. The main difference is that this event will include participants from outside the Women in Property network — bringing together a broader group of professionals while still maintaining the inclusive and supportive environment that Freshwalks is known for.

We start the walk at the Strawbury Duck pub next to Entwistle Station and head through woodland before following the edges of Wayoh and then Jumbles reservoirs. After an hour and a half, we should reach the charming cafe at Jumbles Country Park, a decent coffee and snack spot. Our return trip takes us past Turton Tower, along the Witton Weaver’s Way and finally past Turton & Entwistle reservoir to land back at the Strawbury Duck around 13:30 where you’ll be able to order some lunch (not included in event fee).

Parking: Those driving to Entwistle are asked to park at Entwistle Reservoir Car Park (Batridge Rd, Bolton BL7 0LU) which is 10 mins walk away from the pub meeting point.

There is also limited scope for on-road parking near the pub but the small pub car park is usually closed off early doors and reserved for their early lunchtime trade.

Public transport: Please take the 08:45 train from Manchester Victoria calling at Bolton 09:04 and arriving in Entwistle 09:19 (please note that Entwistle is a request stop)

Toilets: None directly at start but public toilets at our mid-morning cafe stop and later at Turton Tower.

Post walk: We expect to arrive back in Entwistle around 13:30 and will head to the excellent Strawbury Duck for optional drinks and food.
