This session is led by a working professional who is also a parent of a neurodivergent child with additional health conditions, offering real-life experiences, practical strategies, and interactive discussions. Attendees are encouraged to share insights and ideas.

  • Late-life diagnoses—many parents recognize neurodivergence in themselves through their children

  • Barriers for working parents—balancing responsibilities, job security fears, and appointment scheduling challenges
  • What a positive workplace culture looks like—flexible working, open communication, and proactive employer support
  • Navigating Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) to understand processes and provisions
  • Practical strategies & tools to reduce barriers—takeaways that parents can implement immediately
