POSTPONED - CPD Accredited: Allergy Awareness & Inclusive Practices

Join us for an essential CPD-Accredited session on Allergy Awareness & Reasonable Adjustments - a practical discussion on the importance of allergy accommodations in the workplace and how to create a safer, more inclusive environment for all employees.

The session will be delivered by Jo Oldfield of Complete Training, a professional who supports a family member with severe allergies (anaphylaxis) and can share ideas and lived experiences of being vigilant and minimising risk. Key points that will be covered include:

• Defining an allergy and causes
• Types of allergies
• Triggers for allergies
• Anaphylaxis and emergency approaches
• Exploring Equality laws with some severe allergies described as a disability and the legal obligation for workplaces to implement policies and procedures and protocols
• How to manage allergies in the workplace with practical strategies and risk management 
• The benefits of raising awareness within the workforce to create a safer working environment

Breakfast and drinks will be provided.
