Freshwalks - Hathersage

Welcome to Freshwalks and our third Women in Property netwalking collaboration event of 2023.

This gorgeous circular walking route will start in Hathersage in the Hope Valley and is perfectly located for the business communities of both Manchester and Sheffield to join us for some fantastic networking in the countryside. The walk will move at a relaxed pace and nobody will be left behind.

Walkers coming from Manchester can take the 08:48 train from Manchester Piccadilly to arrive in Hathersage at 09:44. Trains return hourly.

Walkers coming from Sheffield can take the 09:14 train to arrive in Hathersage at 09:32. Trains return hourly.

Driver are asked to meet at 09:30 to allow enough time for any traffic and parking. We'll meet outside the train station and the walk will start at 09:45 as soon as both trains arrive.

The plan is to stop at The Maynard boutique hotel in Grindleford around 12:30 for pre-ordered lunch - if the weather allows, outside in the fine beer garden. We'll be back on our way about an hour later for the final 5km (mostly flat) stretch back to Hathersage, approximately 15:00. There is a train back to Manchester at 15:32 and Sheffield at 15:44.

Dogs are welcome on the walk (need to check suitability of venue for dogs if we do need to eat indoors)

A full information pack will be sent out in the week before the walk but you'll need to bring drinking water. Please wear appropriate footwear such as walking boots or shoes and take a layered approach to clothing including waterproofs.
