Exploring how inclusive design can move beyond accessibility checklists to create built environments where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and able to participate.

Women in Property is delighted to present the Webinar: Designing Inclusive Environments.

Join Women in Property Midlands and North West for an exclusive webinar exploring Inclusive environments.

Inclusive environments are those spaces that are not only accessible, but where everyone feels genuinely welcomed and can enjoy it without undue effort, separation or special treatment. It goes beyond the usual accessibility considerations to consider users' diverse needs, backgrounds and experience. It is about a shift from simply accommodating disability to designing for human diversity, to challenge the concept of an 'average' user to embrace the full spectrum of human diversity.

This webinar will examine the principles of inclusive design and how they can be blended into the projects seamlessly and as part of the design process rather than a checklist to comply with. It will also look at the access-related standards and understand how the Equality Act relates to the built environment and finally will explore how consultation and users' engagement helps to achieve an environment that people sense part of it and where they can contribute and participate.

We are delighted to introduce our speaker Elisenda Rife who is a director at the access and inclusive design consultancy David Bonnett Associates (DBA). She is an experienced architect specialised in accessible and inclusive design environments with over 15 years’ experience in the inclusive design sector. Her work focuses on helping clients to deliver inclusive well-designed, and user-centred environments in a wide range of sectors including residential, education, workplace, transport, and culture. Elisenda is passionate about creating well-designed environments that seamlessly integrate inclusive solutions, enabling as many people as possible to use and enjoy them.

We hope you can join us for this informative webinar.
