Come and join us for a special early evening ‘netwalking’ event.
We’ll meet outside the Commonwealth Pool at 5pm and a stroll round the low road of Arthur’s Seat, which is now closed to traffic, to Dr Neil’s Garden in Duddingston. This beautiful garden, apparently once voted ‘the UK’s most peaceful place’, was set up by two local GPs for the enjoyment of their patients in the 1960s (https://www.drneilsgarden.co.uk/visit-the-garden).
Those who can stay on can enjoy a drink in the Sheep Heid Inn afterwards (drinks to be purchased by individuals). It is believed to be Scotland's oldest surviving pub. An inn has stood on the site since 1360, serving as a historic watering hole for royalty, poets, and travellers traveling between Holyrood Palace and Craigmillar Castle.
The event is free for members but please book in advance. Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend.
Women on maternity leave are now welcome to join all our netwalks for free. No need to book, just turn up with your baby on the day. Members, past & future members all welcome.
Registration Deadline: 14 September 2026
