POSTPONED - CPD Accredited: ShawContract Sustainable Carpet Factory Visit

Join us for an exclusive CPD lunch seminar and factory visit to the ShawContract carpet manufacturing plant in Dumfries and Galloway.

Transport to and from the site will be provided from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with drop off planned for just after lunch.

ShawContract established its EMEA manufacturing base in Sanquhar, Scotland by acquiring a long-established carpet tile manufacturer in 2018. Since then, significant investments have been made in new machinery, warehousing and stock facilities. The facility enables us to support the growing demand for locally manufactured carpet tile products, that are tested to EU standards and can be shipped throughout the region quickly. The site also uses 100% of its electricity from renewable sources (wind power). Shaw Contract is highly engaged with the local community, and has become a major local employer with initiatives including: 

• New engineering apprenticeship and accountancy trainee schemes. 
• Annual training commitment for all employees. 
• Local supply — using local business and suppliers wherever possible
