This September marks the 35th year of the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival organised by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust (GBPT). The festival offers free access to over 100 historic buildings across the city.

In the run up to the festival our Central Scotland branch brings experts from one of GBPT’s most recent projects, West Boathouse, to offer a CPD Accredited insight session on the management and delivery of this Category B Listed building. The building’s unique timber structure was perilously close to dereliction when work began in 2018 to repair and adapt it. The building reopened in 2023 as an inclusive rowing and community hub, changing its use to embrace new audiences and encourage people to re-engage with the River Clyde at Glasgow Green.

Join us for an informative presentation by Project Architect Rebecca Cadie, Heritage Engagement Manager Ingrid Shearer, and Quantity Surveyor Angela Coia to find out more. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A and networking opportunity, with food and drinks kindly sponsored by Dentons.

Members and non-members of all genders are welcome.
