Scotland 2045 – Fourth National Planning Framework – draft: consultation

It is expected that the NPF4 (Fourth National Planning Framework) will become part of Scotland’s statutory development plan in 2022 and will influence planning decisions. 

The NFP4 must contribute to: –

• improving the health and wellbeing of our people
• increasing the population of rural areas
• meeting housing needs
• improving equality and eliminating discrimination
• meeting targets for emissions of greenhouse gases
• securing positive effects for biodiversity

Consultation closes on 31 March 2022.

Join us for a presentation on the draft Scotland 2045 – NPF4, with Fiona Simpson, Chief Planner, Planning and Architecture, Scottish Government. 

We will also be joined by Debbie Mackay, Director, Planning and Hannah Belford, Planner, Savills, for a follow-on presentation. There will be time for discussion and questions on the Scottish Government’s long-term plan looking ahead to 2045.
