GDODF Cadworks Building Visit

All event fees are listed net of VAT.

In line with this year’s “city in flux” topic for the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival, Women in Property and FORE Partnership are thrilled to organise a building visit to Cadworks to celebrate one of the first office buildings that is Net Zero Carbon in operation, setting a new sustainable & social standard for commercial buildings.

Graham Forsyth, Director at Cooper Cromar who are kindly sponsoring the event, will be guiding us thought the building which was completed last year to coincide with COP26 and features the city's first cycle-in access ramp and parking for bicycles and shared electric vehicles only.  With the Government setting ambitious carbon-reduction targets, 'Cadworks' acts as a catalyst and an exemplar building for the City's future. Carbon neutrality is achieved by balancing carbon dioxide emissions with their removal or eliminating the emissions altogether.

Social impact is also key for FORE, a certified B Corporation, so Cadworks features an 'urban village hall' which will host events with occupiers joining local community groups and social enterprises, curating a "conservation corner", a legacy of COP, showcasing the challenges of climate change and innovations that can help.

Some snacks will be provided at the end of the tour for with an opportunity for networking.

There is a £5 contribution to attend this event which will be donated to the GDODF free annual festival.
