Bristol Women in Business Charter
Women in Property South West have formed a partnership with the Bristol Women in Business Charter:
The Charter’s ambition is to help accelerate the pace of change that will benefit women, the businesses they work in and the communities they live in. Our ultimate aim is to make Bristol the first gender equal city in the UK for workers.
We are creating a legacy, and we are proud that Bristol is the only city in the UK to have its own Charter that focuses on achieving gender equality in business, with an intersectional lens, and a cross-sector approach.
There is still a long way to go to improve the working lives of women in our city. From closing the gender pay gap to increasing flexible working opportunities or growing the number of women in senior positions or on boards.
The key focus for us is making gender equality for ALL women a business issue, a driver for competitive advantage that is driven from the top of organisations. The charter helps to achieve that by getting businesses to work on specific goals on an ongoing basis in manageable and achievable chucks.
