One of the key features of the Women in Property mentoring programme is that everyone wishing to take part, whether mentor or mentee, experienced or just starting out in a career, benefits from a training session to understand the process and make the most of the relationship. The training takes place virtually and is delivered by our Mentoring Consultant.
Experience shows that by clarifying the responsibilities of both mentor and mentee and by demonstrating how to develop appropriate communication skills, the training helps members to build effective mentoring relationships. The training sessions also help with the matching process.
The programme is now being extended to include "How to share success (and failure) feedback". The training provides the skills to build a mentoring relationship effectively, as well as those that are transferable into day to day management.
