CPD Accredited: Breakfast Series 2 - The Planning System – Making it work for you in challenging times

The planning system was created in 1947 with a purpose to ensure that the right development happens in the right place at the right time, benefitting communities and the economy. 

So in 2023, is the planning system still fit for purpose and how can you make the planning system work for you?

At a time of recession, the economy needs to build in order to grow…. Few would disagree with this but agreeing on where development should happen is one of the biggest political problems society is wrestling with.

In the second of our breakfast series, Cara Ware from Peacock + Smith will consider what Rishi Sunak’s delay on a critical vote on planning reform really means for new development and whether or not the system is truly broken. 

The event will be held at the Leeds office of Peacock + Smith and tea, coffee and breakfast sandwiches will be provided, Questions will be taken at the end of the presentation and there will be an opportunity for networking at the beginning and end of the event.
