Women in Property Thames Valley are delighted to provide the opportunity to visit the Thames Valley Science Park in Shinfield to learn about the Natural History Museum’s new Collections, Digitisation and Research Centre that is under construction.
Following a presentation by the contractors and sponsor of the event, MACE, we will receive a guided tour of the construction site.
Planning permission was granted in October 2024 and construction started on site in May 2025 on the new £201m facility. The building will house 28 million specimens, a third of the Natural History Museum’s collection in an ambitious new facility that will house cutting-edge bespoke collections storage which will transform research capability and expand the UK’s leading role in tackling urgent global challenges.
A breakfast snack will be provided as part of the event.
MACE are also able to provide PPE for anyone who does not have their own.
Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend the event.
