The Melksham House project offers an insight into a variety of building methods such as integrating modern construction into a heritage building, applying traditional building methods, working closely with ecology, conservation and archology groups and vast examples of repair works.
The project consisted of the considered refurbishment, restoration and re-roofing of a 17th Century Grade II-Listed former residence on a heritage site, to become a flexible workspace and a multi-purpose facility for the Melksham community.
The roofing work is divided into 5 phases to accommodate the various forms of construction adopted throughout the history of the building.
Refreshments will be provided. Members of all genders are welcome to attend.
