Exploring the Gardens at The Newt in Somerset

This is the second of our ‘The Newt’ series.  We will be welcomed at the Gatehouse designed by B2 Architects and guided through their walkway which weaves its way through the woodland.

After arriving at the awe inspiring Main House we will enjoy tea, coffee and warm cinnamon buns and will hear from Pat Benjamin of B2 Architects before continuing to discover more about the gardens from The Newt’s Head of Gardens and double BALI award winning Landscape Architects, LDC Architects.

Nigel Prince and the team at LDC behind The Newt’s award-winning design will explore the history and inspirations behind different gardening styles through the ages. We will hear the stories that bind them all together as well as a secret insight into the innovations the team had to invent in order to deliver such a scheme.

In addition to the garden tour there will be an opportunity to explore the Produce Garden where more than 350 varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs are grown that supply the restaurants and Farm Shop.

The Newt have generously offered all guests to this event, a complimentary annual membership worth £68.00.
