We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker at the Women in Property South East Branch AGM is Sasha Covington, the inspirational COO and Head of Diversity & Inclusion for JLL’s UK Value and Risk Advisory team.
Sasha's 38-year career in real estate exemplifies resilience and breaking barriers. Starting as a team secretary at JLL in 1998, she progressed to become Chief Operating Officer in 2021. Despite her lack of formal education and being a teenage mother, Sasha's determination and hard work have propelled her to become an exceptional role model for individuals from diverse backgrounds and women.
At JLL, Sasha has been instrumental in fostering inclusion and diversity. Her commitment extends beyond JLL, as she actively participates in industry-wide diversity initiatives and collaborates with external bodies to improve social mobility. Sasha's efforts have earned her multiple accolades, including the Social Mobility Champion 2021, UK Diversity Champion 2021 and most recently shortlisted for both European and British “Hero of the Year” awards 2025.
Sasha's personal story fuels her passion for creating opportunities for others. She believes in the power of representation, often saying, "You can't be what you can't see." Her journey from a challenging upbringing to a leadership position at JLL showcases the transformative impact of opportunity and belonging. As a thought leader and ambassador for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Sasha continues to inspire and drive change in the UK real estate industry, encouraging others to share their stories and create a more inclusive environment.
Come and hear about Sasha’s amazing story at the South East Branch AGM 2025, kindly hosted by GIA in their London office.
