Join Women in Property for a tour of Battersea Power Station from a transport planner’s perspective.

Matt Harris has worked as the Transport Planner across the Battersea Power Station site since 2012, taking an Outline Planning Permission through to the current site which incorporates the redeveloped Power Station, a new London Underground line and four development phases. Matt will provide a walking tour around the site, demonstrating how transport planning has played an intrinsic role in the development of the site from the outset, through to the present day. Matt will show, with real life working examples, the challenges and opportunities that have presented themselves in developing such a massive and complex site and why transport remains a key component of both the design and planning stages of any masterplan.

We will meet at 8.25am in readiness for an 8.30am start. The tour will take about 90 minutes and then we will have the chance to chat to Matt, and fellow WiP members, over liquid refreshments kindly sponsored by Markides Associates.
