The Science Behind Sleep

All event fees are listed net of VAT.

Following the success of Dawn’s previous presentation on ‘How the Brain Works’ and by popular demand we are delighted to welcome her back to speak about ‘Sleep’?

Dawn will explore the science behind sleep, including why we sleep, what governs sleep, the sleep cycle and chronotypes. This presentation raises awareness of the primitive reasons behind why we need better sleep. It outlines the impact of sleep deprivation on the brain and body, from many health perspectives and provides practical ways for us to intentionally incorporate better quality and duration of sleep into our daily lives in order to enhance our resilience and performance.

This talk will equip the attendees with:

  • An understanding of why we sleep and what governs sleep.
  • Enhanced knowledge of how sleep contributes to mental health.
  • Increased self-awareness and insight into your own status and habits.
  • The plan and confidence to improve your quality and duration of sleep.

Dawn will help us to understand how to achieve a better night’s sleep, something we all desire but rarely achieve on a regular basis.

Arrivals 6pm for the presentation to start at 6.30pm
