SHINRIN YOKU - Forest Bathing at Richmond Park

Saturday 19 August 2023 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

SHINRIN YOKU - Forest Bathing at Richmond Park

All event fees are listed net of VAT.

The term Shinrin-yoku was coined by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1982 and can be defined as contacting with and taking in the atmosphere of the forest.  Here in the UK, it is known as forest bathing.

What is forest bathing? The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you and whilst breathing deeply can help both adults and children de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way.

Richmond Park is the largest Royal Park in London covering an area of 2,500 acres.  Created by Charles I in the 17th Century.

Join Women in Property South East committee member and Shinrin-Yoku coach Meg Taylor, who will guide us through a mindful exploration of the forest, including some breath-work and meditation.

What you will need to wear/bring:

  • loose fitting clothing and layers
  • comfortable and sturdy shoes
  • A small towel, a blanket or ground mat
  • Cold or hot drink

Meg is not charging for her time so proceeds from the event will be donated to the mental health charity YOUNG MINDS.

The event is member exclusive and places are limited. If you wish to bring family members please contact booking@womeninproperty.org.uk to confirm.
