Rampion Wind Farm Tour and Networking Drinks - Brighton

Join us for an exciting 130-minute sightseeing tour out to 116 turbines 8 miles offshore from Brighton.  The catamaran will enter the array field for approximately 20 minutes of slow cruising amongst the massive turbines which are 140m high from base to blade tip with 55m blades making the diameter 112m including the hub.  They produce enough electricity for 350,000 homes in Sussex!

There should be panoramic views of the Sussex coast on the way back.

We will meet at midday at the marina for a safety briefing before setting off promptly at 12.30pm. Please wear sensible footwear and bring a jacket.

On our return there will be drinks and nibbles at the Brighton Marina yacht club which will be open to others who are unable to join the boat ride.

This event is open to members and non-members of all genders.

Please note that the boat trip is weather dependent although Ross Boats have advised that in August it is unlikely that they would look to cancel.

If you can’t make the site tour – you can always join us for drinks afterwards.
