Unsung Heroes – A Celebration of Extraordinary Women
Join us for autumn networking drinks and a talk by author and historian Carol Harris.
One hundred years ago, across the United Kingdom, equality for women was the political issue of the day; many women who fought for the vote also campaigned for equal rights for all women, everywhere. Their achievements brought radical change for future generations, but it is only recently that their names have become more widely known. Join us on 15th November to learn more about and celebrate some of those extraordinary women.
The timescale for the evening will be as follows:
Founded in 1739 Coram is the first and longest continuing children’s charity. Having evolved from the 18th century Foundling Hospital it is now a dynamic group of specialist charities supporting over 140,000 children, young people and families every year. Our speaker is the Social History Editor at Coram. To find out more about this amazing charity see www.coram.org.uk
Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend.
