A unique opportunity to explore the Air & Space Institute campus. Women in Property were fortunate to be invited to visit mid-construction and are delighted to be able to offer our members and non-members the opportunity to visit the now completed site to view the cutting-edge facilities.

As part of the Newark town regeneration, there are several projects set to happen within the town. One of these projects was the Air & Space Institute (ASI) which was a new build project for Lincoln College; where students of the various ASI courses will learn their trade from engineering to piloting. This is a one-of-a-kind building/institute in the world and as such will have students from all over.

The architect designed the shape and windows of the building similar to aircrafts sitting side by side, as you see in an airport terminal.

Newark is a historic town dating back to the Saxon period; in recent times, the location of the ASI building was originally the towns’ cattle market.

Newark is on the River Trent and is a high flood risk area, accordingly, the ground level for the building was raised.

Itinerary

Arrival 10:00am for tea / coffee and networking

Brief presentation to begin at 10:30am followed by the tour.

Parking will be available in front of the building. Spaces will be reserved for attendees.

The nearest Train Station is Newark Northgate approx. 1 mile away.

Members and non-members of all genders are welcome to attend.
