Women in Property and RSM collaborate for IWD week, join us to discuss and learn how we can better listen, educate, and act within the workplace to ensure a supportive and inclusive culture.
Following networking, RSM’s National Head of Construction Kelly Boorman will kick off with an industry outlook, sharing the findings of RSM’s real estate 360 survey
We are delighted to also be joined by guest speakers Charley Mather (they/them) a Senior Consultant in the Technology Risk Assurance team at RSM and Richard Hartigan of Eversheds to talk to attendees about their personal and lived experiences from working in property & construction.
Charley took the opportunity to publicly come out as non-binary when they joined RSM in February 2021. Lockdowns had provided the opportunity and catalyst for some long-overdue self-reflection, and the fresh start of a new role at a new organisation seemed the ideal time to make the public change. Upon starting at RSM, they sought out the LGBT+ champions network (now PRISM) and volunteered to take on the role of champion themselves in order to bring a trans & non-binary perspective to the table.
Richard is a Partner in the Construction and Engineering team at Eversheds Sutherland. Having been a member for several years, he has recently taken on the role of Partner Sponsor for Perspective, the firm’s LGBTQ+ people network. Perspective’s mission is to encourage all employees and partners to be their true selves at work by building an open, inclusive, and supportive employee network.
