Midlands Monthly Book Club June 2023

The Midlands branch of Women in Property will continue to hold our monthly book club over zoom for both members and non-members to attend.
During the meeting we have an informal chat about the previous month’s book, then review three book titles before voting for the next month’s reading choice. Everyone will then go away, order and read the new book then reconvene the next month to discuss how they enjoyed it.
This month we will be reading ‘The Silence of the Girls’ by Pat Barker:
Pat Barker’s electrifying revision of The Iliad reframes the story through the voiceless women of war in a startlingly vivid novel with a powerful message about who tells stories and why it matters.
