Currie Community High School is one of the first projects in the Scottish Government’s Learning Estates Investment Programme (LEIP) which links funding to achieving a specific energy metric (67 kWh/m2/year) over 25 years. The project achieves this by adopting the rigour of fully certified Passivhaus and is one of the first Passivhaus secondary schools in Scotland. The new school includes one of the UK’s first Passivhaus swimming pools.
This City of Edinburgh Council project has been designed by Architype and is currently being constructed by Kier.
Join us for a presentation by project architect Jorge Barreno of Architype before a tour of the new school by Richard Cairns, Senior Project Manager at Kier.
Light refreshments will be provided by our event sponsor Architype.
