Our Clothes sWWap in Glasgow was so successful, we are delighted to be hosting another in Edinburgh - just in time to pick up a new outfit for the Annual Women in Property Dinner!
This time, we invite you to have a clear out of your Christmas party outfits and bring along 5-10 items of clothing, shoes or accessories that you no longer need and in exchange, you'll have the opportunity to take home new-to-you pieces. Any remaining items being donated to Smartworks Scotland (a charity a charity who provide unemployed women the clothes, coaching and confidence to secure employment and change their lives).
We’ll start the evening with some delicious nibbles and drinks, before we hear from Director at Wallace Whittle, Stephen Osborne who’ll draw parallels between the fashion industry and the world of building design and construction, highlighting the critical role that sustainable practices play in both realms as we work towards a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible future.
Just as the fashion industry has increasingly embraced sustainable materials, ethical sourcing, and eco-friendly production methods, the building and construction industry must also prioritize sustainability in various aspects of design, development, and occupancy. Here, we explore the shared principles and innovative approaches that can guide both sectors towards a more sustainable and harmonious coexistence with our planet.
Members and non-members of all genders are welcome.
