Join us in Glasgow's Sighthill Transformational Regeneration Area for a tour of one of Scotland's largest regeneration projects of its kind outside of London. This 48-hectare landscape-led masterplan has witnessed the advanced delivery of 30 hectares of public open space, an active travel-focused bridge spanning the M8 motorway, the establishment of a community campus, and the ongoing construction of over 850 new homes.
During this event, LDA Design will provide an insight into the project's journey, starting from its initial vision and progressing through to its current implementation. Additionally, we will be hearing from Dan Thompson, Development Director at Keepmoat Homes, who will shed light on how their Northbridge development is reshaping sustainable living in Glasgow.
Members of the LDA Design team will then guide us on a walking tour of Glasgow's regenerated northern neighbourhood, revealing the pivotal design decisions that have gone into creating a masterplan centered around people. We will witness the realised parkland, pocket parks, play areas, plazas, and the active travel-oriented spine and neighbourhood streets that connect these elements to the Sighthill Bridge and beyond.
Please be punctual, as lunch will be provided during the presentation.
We extend our gratitude to LDA Design & Iceni Projects for hosting and sponsoring this event, as well as to Keepmoat Homes for the use of their NorthBridge Hub venue. We warmly welcome members and non-members of all genders to join us for this event.
